Toko School Room 2

Christmas Show

All of Toko school is going to the Christmas Show because every kid is going to be in it. I am going to be a gromit.
The Christmas parade is tonight, I am going on a float (I have all ready been on a float in Room Ones float we (Room 1 sang a song)

Over the last few weeks, we have been working our canvas's. First we painted our canvas background. We did three coats on our background and we drew our flowers in chalk. Then we put newspaper on our desks and we got some paint trays . We had to put heaps off detail in to our paitings The whole school did a painting and it was only for adults. Chalgren wern't allowed to go to the action and we wern't allowed to take them home.

In Room 2 we have been doing our canvas's. We had about two weeks to do our canvas's. It was really cool.
The whole school did it. 18 of the pictures did not get bought. Room 2 did flowers so did Room 1.
Room 3 did Nature, so did Room 5.We had to put heaps of detal in our painting and then people went
to the Community Hall to buy our canvas's. Children wern't allowed to take there canvas's home.

Swimming

Toko School is doing swimming now. I am in the big pool. My instructor is Sue. Fletcher and I are the second fastest in our group! I like going swimming.

End of year production

We are learning our songs now. One of them is called Smithy (the name of the play), Holidays, Drama, Drama and I told you so. I am excited about the play and I like singing. Our play is in 4 weeks.

Tabloid Sports

On Monday 9th November, Toko School did Tabloid Sports at Midhurst School. I had fun. There was food and drinks, chips, chocolate bars, and sausage and bread. We did lots of games like T-ball, Scatter Ball, Rolling Rounders, and Relays. It was heaps of fun and the food was delicious.

Katie's brother's 4th Birthday

On Tuesday 10th November its my brother Matthew's 4th birthday. I am going to make him a card. Matthew wants a hotwheels colour blaster and a sandpit digger. I dont know if Mum and Dad have bought him a present yet. I hope he has a cool birthday.

My first Term at Toko School

Hi, my name is Dereck and I started at Toko School this term. I came from Wairakei School in Taupo. My favourtie part of school is doing science. I like living in Taranaki because now I am closer to my grandparents and I don't have to walk far to the milking shed.

Room 2 have been busy making farm safety posters. They can be ATVsafety, fire safety ,bike safety, and fire arms safety. They look really cool. They are really colourfull and have really cool pictures. My poster is about ATV safety.

Calf and Lamb Day

On Tuesday 20 of October Toko School had a Calf and Lamb Day. Only 4 people had Jr calfs it was me with Ruby, Katie with Dasiy, Fletcher with Polly and Grace with Crystall. Grace came 3rd in rearing and leading. Fletcher came second in rearing and I came second in leading. Katie came first in rearing and Fletcher came first in leading. It was an awesome day. I got to buy L&P.

Week 3 of Term 4! My how time flies!! The children in Room 2 will be taking more control of the blog this term- now that I have gotten my head around it all! Thanks to everyone who has been checking our blog and leaving messages- the children really love to see what other people think!

Cross country

At Rawhitiroa we did cross country!! A few Room 2 kids are going to Taranaki champs. I think that is awesome!! It was a hot, spring day. Kids were sweating a lot-ewww!! There was yummy food-yumm.

4 weeks to go until the end of the term! We are very busy over the next few weeks focusing on our Speech board poems and talks. Watch this space as the children post videos, voice threads and blog posts over the next little while!

Family Day

Brendon's favourite part of family day was...
doing the rakau. Because we got to throw them to each other!! I liked the silent part where we threw them to each other without dropping them.

Angelina's favourite part of family day was...
Singing Paikeke Mai. Because the movements were cool! At the end of the day, everyone sung Happy Birthday to me!! It was fun. I liked playing the recorder too. My favourite song was Lullabye.

Hello Room 2, friends and family! Welcome to our first post of our really cool blog! I have never done this before, so I am super excited to play with it and learn a lot. I will spend time with the students in Room 2 to help them navigate this blog so that they can add their thoughts and ideas as well.
